The Colorado Buffaloes won 34-23 over the Cincinnati Bearcats on October 26, 2024, at Folsom Field. The game featured an impressive showing from quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who completed 25 of 30 passes for 323 yards and accounted for three touchdowns—two in the air and one on the ground. Wide receiver Travis Hunter was the standout target, hauling in nine receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
Colorado struck early with Sanders connecting on a three-yard touchdown pass to Hunter, followed by a scramble from Sanders to give the Buffaloes a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Cincinnati answered with a touchdown run by Evan Pryor, briefly tying the game in the second quarter. Colorado pulled ahead again when kicker Alejandro Mata nailed a 28-yard field goal, and Sanders later delivered a 34-yard touchdown to Hunter, putting the Buffaloes up 24-14 by halftime.
In the third quarter, running back Dylan Hayden extended Colorado’s lead with a seven-yard touchdown run, making it 31-14. Cincinnati managed a field goal early in the fourth quarter, narrowing the gap, and later scored another touchdown to bring the score to 31-23. However, Colorado’s defense held strong on critical downs, and Mata’s 46-yard field goal late in the fourth provided extra cushion, solidifying the final score at 34-23.
Cincinnati’s Brendan Sorsby completed 16 of 30 passes for 180 yards, including two touchdown passes but struggled with consistency. Colorado’s efficient offense and strong defensive plays, particularly on fourth downs, secured the Buffaloes’ sixth win of the season, making them bowl-eligible and continuing their strong season under head coach Deion Sanders .
